New Wrinkles to Old Pieces…

December 11, 2024 is when this image was created after a wholesale remodeling and re-posing. The background was re-done and the two lions were re-positioned.

June 21, 2025, the background was again remodeled, but the main character was re-posed and reshaped around the shoulders, bustline and the hips. Also, earrings were added, and the clothes were given new blue material to complement the brown colors throughout the image. I even gave a brown highlight in the strands of hair. And the overhead area lighting was shifted from the right side of the frame to the left, matching the highlight of the horizon. A lot of changes were made in this piece.

Walk cycle study

Here is me trying to brush up on my non-existent walk cycle skills. I should have had this down to a science years ago, but I didn’t practice.

I decided to change another piece.

I’m using the Human Generator Add-on for Blender to see if I could pose a more realistic look of the “Leo” piece. I rendered several different versions of this pose before I decided on something new.

With this render, I removed the blue fade of the sky because it was giving me pixelation issues in my image editing program. Side note: the shoulders and the face were both to awkward looking to continue.

Here, I changed the pose slightly to give a more regal appearance. I Also altered the position of the sun texture to give the halo behind the model, and I changed the texture of the sand a few times (but wasn’t sold completely).

With this final render, I saturated the colors to help the image pop. And after relying on BlenderKit this past week for the sand dune texture, I decided to create my own procedural material for the waves. (This is the image I’ll stick with for now).

Deleted scenes

These are a handful of scenes I created to include in my concept trailer for “They Came For Brooklyn”. But the clips were either dropped from the actual story, or they slowed pace of the trailer. Anyway, I didn’t want to simply hide them from the rest of the world. So, here they are.

Since I'm in a posting mood...

Typically, I’m either creating or recreating something between projects, just to see the result. Some stuff are worthy of sharing, and some not so much. Here is something I modeled and animated, to see if I could. I guess it came out okay.

A New Version

This is the more cinematic version of the trailer. It also uses music that’s pre-licensed and shouldn’t give me a hard time on YouTube. My next step is to seriously begin writing. For me, connecting all these scenes will be the hard part.
